Fort De Soto Beach is an hour and a half drive drive from the Orlando Theme Park area. It is located on its own island - Fort De Soto Park. You will enjoy fine beaches, fishing, nature trails, camping, boating and many other activities.So pack a lunch, snacks, your swimsuit, sunscreen, chair, a good book, camera and be ready for an enjoyable day.

You can enjoy the beach sitting in your own beach lounger or in a kayak/canoe near the water's edge. You will see and experience the natural beauty of this area for miles. You will see a large array of birds, sea life, wild life and plant life at Fort De Soto Park. This Park is full of historical markers for the history buff to enjoy. Kayaks and canoes are available for rent.This is the largest park in Pinellas County Park system with 1,136 acres of five islands (keys). It was named America's Top Beach in 2009 by Tripadvisor. "We had a great vacation. The house was amazing . Very clean and looked even better in person then the pics. The location was great and close to Disney. The pool was heated when we arrived and we swam everyday. I will definetly rent this house again. We had a large group of 12 people and the house was big enough to accomodate everyone and it never felt crowded"
